2024/2025 SUMMER READING

Dear Parents, 

Below is a link to view your child/children's Summer Reading Book List. Each child entering grades 2nd-8th will read and test on one book. Every quarter, students get a reading grade for reading and testing on a book and taking an Accelerated Reader test on that book. The grade they get on that test counts toward their quarterly grade in reading.

If the student does not pass the test, the student will need to read another book and test on that book to attempt to get a passing grade. For the first quarter, the second book must be one of the other books on the required Summer Reading List. If they need other options after not passing, the librarian can approve other options.

Summer reading testing must be completed by August 23rd. Please be aware that students will receive the actual grade of the highest test score prior to August 23rd. 

We have set up 2 dates for students who wish to take tests over the summer. Summer reading test dates will be from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on the following dates: 

• June 19th
• July 30th
