What is a Strategic Growth Plan?

• Roadmap for a future that we and our key stakeholders envision and that is in line with our mission.
• Document that is used to communicate with our organization/stakeholders our goals, objectives, and actions as well as other key elements needed to achieve the goals.
• The Document should also be able to tell us how we will know if we are successful.

The mission of Holy Family School is to foster a Catholic educational community which reflects Christ’s presence in daily thoughts, words, and actions. 

The vision of Holy Family School is to prepare its students to be lifelong learners, while realizing their spiritual, intellectual, and social potential. The Holy Family School Faculty & Staff teach by example, instilling in students the desire to fulfill their potential as responsible, participating members of family, Church & society.

• Honesty - Understanding that honesty is always expected, and forgiveness should be given without reservation. 
• Dignity and Respect - Just as we respect Jesus, all students & staff should be treated with the same respect, regardless of race, religion, social class, etc. Additionally, dignity of self should be owned. 
• Loyalty - Keep true to your word and promises made among each other, as Jesus keeps his promises to us. 
• Fairness - Students & staff alike should display unity across our school in all situations while remembering the likeness of God. 
• Personal and Communal Growth - As a community, with the help of Christ, we will work towards being our best "whole selves."

The needs of each area in our strategic plan will be assessed and developed accordingly. There are committees in place that will help drive the collaboration in pushing these goals into action. 
 

EXPANSION OF CATHOLIC VALUES
Our school is composed of approximately 85% Catholics, including staff and students. While we promote Catholicity in all areas - in the classroom and out - we will strive to evangelize hearts while we Do Small Things With Great Love.

TEACHER RETENTION
Over the past several years, there has been a trend of frequent changes in staff which hinders the spread of the Holy Family mission and traditions that were begun over 70 years ago.

TERRA NOVA
Since the Diocese's recent adoption of Terra Nova, our Math scores have shown continual small improvements. This is due to the conscious efforts made by both the Diocese and our teachers. The pandemic slowed the process down a bit, but moving forward, we hope to continue this growth in all academic areas.




Using Core Values to Evangelize

OBJECTIVE

• Show respect to all, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, while also spreading His word.
• Displaying loyalty to self and others in respect to the operation of our "Holy Family."
• Instilling in our students and ourselves that honesty is always to be practiced. This displays the values of Catholicity that we aim to practice and teach our school and community.

ACTION STEPS

• All of our teachers, staff, and students understand the importance of displaying Catholic values. This is an ongoing learning process in which we provide the tools necessary to complete the evangelization process.

Continued Improvement and Enhancement in Academics and Technology

Priority #2: Continued Improvement and Enhancement in Academics and Technology

OBJECTIVE

• Reading & Language Arts should be a continual focus of improvement.
• Mathematics has had some improvement over time, but it should remain a priority for the future.

ACTION STEPS

• Diocesan Workshops - Teachers will participate in workshops that the diocese offers in order to collaborate with other diocesan schools.
• Professional Development - Through the use of Title funds, teachers will enhance their knowledge of their specific subject and ways to increase rigor in the classroom.
• Mentors - Through collaboration with schools in the diocese, there has already been teachers who have been paired with mentors at other schools to assist in learning new methods of teaching.

OBJECTIVE

• Technology has shown tremendous growth at HFS

ACTION STEPS

• STEM (in-class activities, STARBASE, STEM night, STEM club)
• Promethean boards in every room
• iPads 1:1 in PK and K
• Chromebooks 1:1 in 1st-8th
• 3-D Printers
• Poster printer
• Our expansion of technology on campus will continue with several other items through the EANS grant.

Improvement of Physical Plant

OBJECTIVE

• New Air Conditioners campus wide
• New ceilings and floors in main building
• Convent & T-Building upgrades, keeping in mind the need for new classrooms
